I am 3 months post reconstruction. I had the hamstring tendon + allograft replacement.
My hamstring is getting stronger every day, it seems to be recovering faster than my quads. (I guess that is pretty normal)
I have good days and bad days. In the first 4 weeks, it was so painful that I told everyone, if I had known how bad the recovery would be - I would never have done it.
Well now that it is mostly behind me - I am so happy to have had it done. It was worth it!
I am realtively pain free. My knee aches when there is a storm coming (I have always wanted a "weather limb"! ;-)
I still can't start running again, my Dr. and PT would like my Quads to get stronger first. I really don't want to get hurt again, so I am still taking it slow.
